Dear Kindergarten Families, We began the week by dividing into our new groups, The Pretty Planets and the Marvelous Toys (based on two of our favorite songs). Each child then made a family Venn Diagram with a child who had not been in their group in the first half of the year as a way of getting to know them. First Grade News
Dear Families, This week we celebrated our new groups and worked on building our new communities. We played games, sang songs, and explored new partnerships. We also went through the voting process to decide on our new group names – the red snakes and blue dolphins! We also explored our feelings about the changing groups and events happening in our personal lives. We have started keeping feelings journals, and are practicing writing in them daily to notice patterns in how we are feeling and the reasons behind our current moods.
