Family Social Action Events

Service Learning Outside of School

The Hannah Senesh Parent Association provides a number of opportunities throughout the school year for families to dedicate time and effort to the community.  Get involved!  Look below to find out about upcoming social action events. Remote “At Home” Packaging with Repair the World – January 15-18
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Repair the World and Hannah Senesh families will gather different care packages for our partners and communities in need. Families can choose one of these packaging programs to participate in. Drop-off locations and timings are listed below and will be sent via email after registering. 

  • Package PPE at Home for Communities in Need
    Sign up for remote packing to create PPE packages ($5-$10 per package) that will be donated to local partner organizations VOCAL and Mixteca. After registering you will receive an email with specific details about what and how to package as well as information about where to drop off your packages throughout the weekend. Join us for remote learning to discuss the service taking place at home! Sign up here.
  • Package Winter Care Kits at Home for Communities in Need
    Sign up for remote packing to create winter care kit packages ($15-$20 per package) that will be donated to local partner organizations Community Kitchen & Pantry and Crown Heights JCC. After registering you will receive an email with specific details about what and how to package as well as information about where to drop off your packages throughout the weekend. Join us for remote learning to discuss the service taking place at home! Sign up here.
  • Package School Supplies at Home for Communities in Need
    Sign up for remote packing to create school supply packages ($10-$15 per package) that will be donated to local partner organizations the East Harlem Tutorial Program and Mixteca. After registering you will receive an email with specific details about what and how to package as well as information about where to drop off your packages throughout the weekend. Join us for remote learning to discuss the service at hand! Sign up here.

Packages may be dropped off on Monday, January 18th anytime between 10:00am and 4:30pm
