5th Grade Week of 3/5
What a week! Please enjoy the class updates below, and have a good weekend!
HUMANITIES: Another wonderful week in Humanities! Students finished their exceptional Tuck Everlasting essays, and were able to design their own extra credit assignments. I’m so proud of how much their writing has improved this year! In Social Studies, we studied the Great Wall, the Ballad of Mulan (the same Mulan!), and some of the other distinct cultural features that China has to offer! Shabbat Shalom!-Tony
JUDAICS: This week we had a great time learning with Dammara about Joseph’s brothers coming to Egypt to get grain during the famine. Students translated in chevruta and learned new Biblical grammar. It was so nice to see how the class welcomed Dammara into our community. We had many fun activities like acting and drawing in order to get into the mindset of our characters. Shabbat Shalom- Laura
MATH: 5th graders successfully completed their unit test and started a new unit, “Perimeter, Area and Surface Area.” They learned to find the area of a figure in square units this week!-Kelly
