Commemorating in Community: 10/7 Brooklyn Memorial Gathering
Reflect, remember, and create together.
Thursday, October 9 | 6:30-8PM
Kane Street Synagogue | 263 Kane Street
Join us for a moving evening with Hashayara, an ensemble of gifted Israeli musicians from the Galilee, as they lead a journey of music and storytelling marking two years since October 7. The program will also feature local voices—cantors, musicians, and students from Brooklyn schools—coming together to honor the victims, strengthen communal solidarity, and affirm the values they held dear.
While adults attend the main program, Senesh is helping to lead a parallel children’s program as part of Wings of Hope, a global art initiative founded by the late Livnat Kutz of Kibbutz Kfar Azza. Children will transform recycled toys into a set of vibrant, oversized wings that symbolize resilience, remembrance, and hope. These wings will later be on display in our own Senesh Sukkah.
