Brooklyn Communal Yom HaShoah Commemoration
Wednesday, April 23 | 7PM
Park Slope Jewish Center | 1320 8th Ave, Brooklyn
We will come together as a broad community to mark Yom Hashoah v’Hagevurah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) with this contemplative ceremony of music and reflection. With the help of Sarah Kamaras’ moving short documentaries (The Podkamieners) about her family’s survival, we will allow art and memory to lift up the stories of those who died and those who survived.
Yom HaZikaron Service
Tuesday, April 29 | 7PM
East Midwood Jewish Center | 1625 Ocean Ave, Brooklyn
Join us for a ceremony featuring stories of those we've lost, Israeli songs, Hebrew poetry, and prayer for resilience and peace, in collaboration with clergy from multiple communities and the Israeli community.
