We offer a few ways for prospective families to get a sense of what Senesh is all about:
As an open and inclusive Jewish day school in the heart of Brooklyn, we strive to provide an unparalleled, modern academic home that is committed to the rich diversity of Jewish life. Our core Jewish value of Openness/Elu v’Elu guides our work in building empathy, promoting tolerance, and valuing difference. We live this value daily at Senesh in our curriculum, programming, admissions, hiring, professional development, and dialogue with our broader community.
It is integral to our ongoing journey/Masa as a school to embrace the complex conversation of diversity in the 21st Century, which we believe will continue to make our school community even more vibrant and strong.
Materials and trip fees are additional, which includes the cost of books, classroom material, field trips, and overnight trips for Middle School students (to Washington, D.C., TEVA Nature Camp, and Israel). In 2024-25, additional fees are:
We believe all families seeking a Jewish day school education should have access to one, even if tuition is a barrier. We’re pleased to offer tuition assistance for K-8 students based on demonstrated need. Today, more than half of Senesh families receive some tuition assistance. The Financial Aid Committee makes decisions based on demonstrated need, the school’s commitment to diversity, and the availability of funds.
As we build the rich mosaic of Jewish life, we’re striving to increase the representation of Jews of Color who have been underrepresented in our community and who would find a warm and welcoming Jewish home at Senesh. With this in mind, we’ve established a grant to enable more Jews of Color to attend our lower school.
Learn More and ApplyGraduates of Senesh have been accepted at top high schools and colleges across the country and internationally. Our excellent outplacement services help parents and students explore, simplify, and navigate the process of high school admissions and beyond.
A Senesh education integrates the best of both Jewish and General Studies. We offer small-group programs to meet students where they are, no matter when in their school tenure they enter Senesh, or where they enter from.
