Welcome to First Grade!

Welcome 1st Grade Families!

We hope you had a lovely summer.

The first grade team is looking forward to meeting you and your 1st graders at back to school night next week. We have been excitedly preparing our classrooms in preparation for the first day of school on Monday September 13, 2021.

Please send your children to school with the following items: 

• A separate labeled snack so children don’t have to choose from their lunch in the moment 
• Lunch that students can open and manage independently (thermos with warm food is often hard to open due to suction)
• A labeled water bottle
• A change of clothing in plastic bag that will remain in locker (socks, underwear, shirt and pants)
• A sweater or sweatshirt to keep in school in case student is chilly
• 5 masks in plastic bag

Please make sure that students can manage all buttons, zippers, clothing, jewelry, and shoes themselves. Please stick to velcro if your child cannot tie laces.  We are working hard to stay 3 feet apart and only want to help out in emergencies. 

Also, please note that the first graders have PE on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Sneakers must be worn during PE class.

When writing an email, please use  1stgradeteam2021@hannahsenesh.org every time where you will reach all 1st grade teachers.
