Kindergarten Hebrew Studies

Dear Kindergarten parents הורים יקרים,

I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving!

During the past two weeks in the Hebrew and Jewish Studies room we focused on Hanukkah vocabulary and the verb I love – Ani Ohev/Ohevet. We are learning the songs Ner Lee and Banu Hoshech Legaresh and reviewing our new vocabulary with Bingo, and “writing” in pictures from right to left. Sentences such as: Alex Ohevet Sufganiyot. We also red the book Eize Ner Mateem? And learned about the different kinds of candles we have for shabbat, birthday, Havdalah and Hanukkah ad begun using Yesh Lee as well as the question word Eize?

With our Shinshinim Eran and Ofir we made binoculars – Meeshkefet and used the verb I see – Ani Ro’e to play I spy with Hebrew colors.

In Jewish studies we learned the story of Hanukkah as well as the blessings for hanukkah candle lighting. We made our Judah Maccabee shields and salt dough Hanukiah.
