Kindergarten Hebrew Judaics

Dear Kindergarten Families הורים יקרים,
This week we got ready to celebrate Purim! In Judaics we went deeper into the Purim story and practiced telling it ourselves so that we could write our own megillot on paper towel scrolls. We learned about the special mitzvot of Purim: Hear the Megillah, distribute Mishloach Manot packages of food, donate/volunteer for Matanot L’evyonim to the less fortunate, and have a Purim feast/Seudah. We played a drawing game where we guessed which costumes we might wear during our whole school celebration. It was so exciting to see everyone all dressed up yesterday! We had fun listening to the big kids read from the Megillah. Our buddies escorted us during the Purim carnival and later exchanged Mishloach Manot with us in our classroom.

In Hebrew we learned a new song about a dancing clown that we performed when the whole school gathered yesterday (lyrics below). We reviewed our colors to make transparent masks and stick sculptures.
