Science

This final week in science we applied our learned engineering skills from this course to an egg drop activity. Students had to select 12 of 20 possible materials in order to drop an egg from a height without breaking. This interactive final activity allowed the class to enjoy the building process one last time. We laughed when some eggs did not survive the fall and were surprised at others that did survive after a huge thump sound. This year has been filled with successes and growth of science abilities. We cannot wait to continue hands on science next year in 8th grade!

Judaic Studies

We spent our last week celebrating the year’s many accomplishments – reflecting together on our studies, baking and eating s’mores, and getting ourselves ready for next year. Students had a chance to bring together their year of learning by responding to some of our essential questions:

Are you B’nai Yisrael responsible for their immature behavior? Are you?

Why do people complain? Why is complaining so annoying for those it’s directed at (God, Moshe, parents, teachers, etc.)?

Hebrew

Dear 7th grade parents,

Wow I can’t believe it’s the end!
It’s crazy how fast this year went by. This year has been packed with many. memorable moments. I’ve had the pleasure of teachingac this class for two years now, and I have got to see them grow as individuals and as learners. Thank you all for your support throughout the year. I wish you all a restful and relaxing summer.
