This week, kindergarteners are learning how to rotate in literacy stations and work independently during guided reading time. The kids blew us away with how well they took care of their group, cleaned up, and did their best work independently.
In guided reading, we enjoyed practicing our pointer power to read pattern books (1 to 1 correspondence) and using our eagle eye to look at the picture to figure out unknown words. In a couple of weeks, we will start sending home pattern books that kids can read to you at home!
Our class got to take their first trip to the park with their 4th grade buddies on Wednesday. Both groups really enjoyed themselves!
We are kicking off our science program this week by exploring the weather and how it changes and effects our daily life.
Enjoy your weekend,
Liz and Talia
