Greetings Kindergarten Families!

We are close to finishing out our first full week of school where we have been working on our stamina and fully jumping into all subjects! In math, we have explored numbers 1-5 and discussed similarities and differences (same and different) in objects and numbers. Students really enjoyed playing “Match It” and getting to use their new workbooks! In phonics, we have met our new friend Mabel the elephant who works with us as we learn new letters and words. As we talk about what makes us special and unique individually, we have been using shapes...

In addition, we learned the Bracha for the Lulav, used a real hammer and nail, built a Sukkah from blocks, worked on a Sukkah puzzle, discussed the weather, used classroom vocabulary, met our fourth grade buddies, built a candy Sukkah with the eighth graders...

Students have learned about legos, crayons, pattern blocks, animal counters, magnetic letters, and playdough. We are also improving on our routines and procedures and turning our practice into habit....
