Admissions Process

תהליך ההרשמה

Below are the application requirements for Kindergarten through 8th grade for the 2022-2023 academic year.

  • Parent tour and one-on-one conversation with the Admissions Director Annette Powers. I will give private tours daily at 9:30am, 10:30am, and 1:30pm. Please contact me at apowers@hannahsenesh.org to schedule a tour. This tour and conversation will provide us with the opportunity to learn more about your family and for your family to have time to ask questions about Senesh and see our wonderful school in action. Please note: you must provide proof of vaccination and wear a mask to take a tour.
  • Application completed on Ravenna. Through Ravenna’s portal you will be able to apply online, email the Teacher Evaluation Form to your child’s teachers, and check the status of your application. To apply, visit our Ravenna admissions page where you can create a new Ravenna admissions account, or log in with your existing Ravenna admissions account. Once you create an account or log in to your existing Ravenna account, search the School Directory for “Hannah Senesh Community Day School” and click the APPLY button. When you get to the Hannah Senesh page on Ravenna, change the year in the “Applying for the fall of” dropdown menu at the top of the page and select the appropriate year. Apply here. Applications are due Dec. 31st. We will accept rolling admissions if we have space.
  • School transcripts for the current year and the two years before (or as many as possible for those applying for kindergarten through 2nd grade.) Inform your child’s current school that you are applying to Hannah Senesh and have the transcript emailed to Annette Powers at apowers@hannahsenesh.org.
  • Two teacher recommendations. Your child’s teachers will be able to access and submit the Teacher Evaluation Form through Ravenna. Once in your Ravenna account, please delegate two teachers to receive the Teacher Evaluation Form. We ask that current teachers start to work on the form in December, a few months into the school year and after your child’s teacher has had time to get to know your child.
  • Student visit/assessment with Senesh staff. Once an application is received and processed, a child visit/assessment will be scheduled. During this time, your child will meet with Senesh administrators, may engage directly in educational activities, and will have the opportunity to learn more about the school. These visits/assessments may be virtual or in-person. This is still TBD.
