Play, play, play! Students have been practicing for our end of year celebration and the New York play. We are working on learning our lines, following cues, and remembering song lyrics and dance moves. It’s coming together so nicely, we can’t wait to share it with all of you! In between practices, we completed our poetry study! Connecting poetry to our social studies unit, we examined the poem by Emma Lazarus that is on the Statue of Liberty. NOTE FOR MAY: Dear Families, Please make sure that your students are practicing every night for this performance. There are songs both in Hebrew AND in English. Kindergarten Blog 5/12
Dear Kindergarten Families, What an exciting week! We’ve been busy with rehearsals for our Kabbalat Shabbat ceremony next Friday 5/19 at 9 am, hosting our buddies for a Family Museum, and Yom Sport on Tuesday. This week in Hebrew and Judaics, we enjoyed a spectacular Lag B’Omer field day! The Kindergartners loved the relay races and games, and learned super fun cheers. It was definitely a day to remember. Writing We launched our spring poetry unit this week! The students are learning how to see through a poet’s lense while making observations about objects in their everyday lives. They are working both inside and outside of the classroom in order to notice all different types of things – pencils, flowers, and even objects like the gate around the yard!
