Dear Kindergarten Families,   What an eventful couple of weeks it’s been! Following Parent-Teacher Conferences, we prepared for our Kesher Day activities and enjoyed showing off our singing and morning meeting routines to the grandparents of Kindergarten. We also worked on our own diaries, and shared one time we were brave for the Hannah Senesh Tekes, honoring our school’s namesake. 3rd Grade: 12/3

We have had a busy past few weeks! Judaics- Celebrating Chanukah! We had a full week of celebrating Chanukkah in third grade! From classroom lighting, to leading the school in lighting on Thursday, third graders were active celebrants. In Judaics class we learned not only about Chanukkah, but also about additional winter light festivals from other cultures. Hebrew with Rimma 4th graders were so excited to rehearse and to present their play. They enjoyed singing it again and again at the end of every Hebrew class. First Grade News

Hello Families, In Hebrew, we learned the letters kaf, chaf and chaf sofit as well as a new vowel, which makes the “Oo” sound. We wrote lots of sentences using the verbs ochel/ochelet (to eat) and ohev/ohevet (to love). We also learned how to say the symbols of  Chanukah in Hebrew and used those words in our writing. We had a very special week together! We played with dreidels, sang Chanukah songs, and read Chanukah stories. In Tefila, we learned a new prayer from the amidah called chanun hamarbeh lisloach.
