November 6, 2020 — History in the Making

Math with Justin Fourth graders have been working hard on their multiplication and division skills. As students work to master multi-digit multiplication, and long division with remainders, they also have started to learn about factors and multiples. Understanding of factors and multiples will not only deepen our students understanding of multiplication of division but it will also help inform our future work on fractions. First Grade News

Hello Families, It has been really wonderful to start meeting with parents and sharing all the growth we have observed in your children! In Hebrew, we learned the letter hey. We added new words to our word wall like; har (mountain), hadas (myrtle) and hegeh (steer wheel). We also practice writing so many words with the letters that we have learned so far like; atah (you), milah (word), ayalah (deer), he (she) and lavi (lion). Third Grade 11/6

Social Studies, Reading, and Writing Over the past few weeks we have been gearing up for the 2020 elections. We learned about the history of democracy and studied as well as wrote about 2 timelines of voting rights throughout the years. We read articles about the presidential jobs, the branches of government, and why we vote on Tuesdays. We also had a visitor join our class, our very own Lower School Coordinator, Shelley Fogelson, to share her experience becoming a citizen.
