Buddy Time: 99th Day of School! We met our buddies on Thursday, the 99th day of school. In honor of the 99th day we played Bingo in Hebrew and a special 99 related Bingo game. Math This week we officially finished our math 2A workbooks! As a final project the second graders created board games where they had to make problems from each unit we’ve learned. First Grade News
Last week, first graders celebrated Chinese New Year. We read non fiction books about Chinese New Year and then used a venn diagram to compare Chinese New Year, Rosh Hashanna, and New Years Eve. First grade writers finished their teaching books. We celebrated with a gallery walk and publishing party! In Math we began the challenging work of double digit addition and subtraction. First graders learned to add or subtract from the ones first and then the tens. They used manipulatives to regroup when necessary.
